As you may know, it is very difficult to find a vet with cavy experience here in the US. Guinea pigs are still considered exotics, and a large number of vets simply don’t bother with rodents, except the occasional pet rabbit. Here in Fort Wayne, northern Indiana, we consider ourselves lucky to have found Dr. Cawood at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr Cawood provides vet care for the university’s lab rodents. ICVH is located at 5902 Homestead Road in Fort Wayne, IN 46814. Clinic hours are generally Mo – Fr from 8 am until 8 pm, with irregular Saturdays. Call ICVH at (260) 434-0207
