My names Buddy and welcome to my blog. From time to time I will post my thoughts here on the Guinea Pig Care website. Only whilst my owners are sleeping of course 🙂
I was born in February of 2008 and are a male dark brown guinea pig. I was originally purchased from a local pet store in Midland Western Australia to keep a lonely rabbit “Tilly” company but met the new love of life “Missy” in mid 2008.
Later that year we had a baby girl guinea pig called “Fluffy”. She’s a little Paris Hilton… But more on her later.

hey every one i am keana i might be getting a guinea pig from my friend tanayah we have been friends over 2 years by now i have been looking up every thing by now and i now no how 2 care for a guinea pig my mummy is going to ask my dad about every thing how to care for a guinea pig,

hi everyone, i love my beautiful guineapigs, Abby & Lulu. they are new so right now we are taking it slowly in trying to get to know each other. I been working very hard in trying to set up a healthy natural environment and its all worth it :)))

i really want a guinea pig and my dads fine with it but my mum hates them how can a persuade her to get one for me. I really want two but i think once i get one she’ll realize how friendly they are and then maybe i can push it to two but i havent got there yet so Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HELP ME IM GONNA DIE IF I DONT GET MY DREAM PIGGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like kale is like a cross between broccoli and cabbage. It should be OK, but I would confirm with someone who has has experience using this as a feed.

I have 6 guinea pigs: Hurley,Bess,Ella,Hammy,Spot, and Cocoa. I’m just wondering can guinea pigs eat Kale. I don’t know if it would make them sick or not
Hey Brie, Thanks for your question! Glass cages are not really recommended as there is not much ventilation. (Unless it has a side that has mesh on it to let air in)

Hi, I’m setting up for a guinea pig and the only thing i don’t know about is the cage. I have a glass cage with a net screen lid that is big enough but I’m not sure if i can save some money and use it. Thanks buddy.

i have had my ginia pigs for a year. my famly started with three mine (gorge) and my sissters (cookise and jares- pronontst war-ez) well my mom and dad desided that mine looked lonely so we put him with jares and cookise (vary bad) about fore weeks later thay looked plump then my mom wanted one and so did my dad so we had to get another two then wuld you belive it we had two litters of babbis in one day 4 from cookis and 3 form jares we got the hinnt at that point and seperated all girls from all boys but it was too late my dads had babbis 2 and my grand mother bout two like she was too good too take her pick frome what we had allready then her freand carrol desids she wants one as well but as long as she is in the nurrsing home we take care of it so long story shot we have allot off ginia pigs

Hi everyone I’m Zoja and I’m 12 and I’ve got 2 Guinea Pigs Lilo and Loli.Lilo is a tricoloured guinea pig (Lilo and Loli are sisters) white.dark brown and light brown same as Loli but at differente spots. Lilo has long fur at her bottom and Loli just has short fur they are sooooooo cute they are about 2-2 and a half yrs old and they literalery walk with each othe they walk side-by-side 🙂 (how cute) they have a 2 storey house and they are in luxury we tottaly love ‘em. We talk to them and believe it or not they talk back (but ofcourse in Guinea Pig language 😛 ). They are really shy sometimes with humans but with birds because like small birds often come and eat their seeds and they go there and just (u guinea pig owners know how they raise their head and put it down and raise it again and so on and so on but like really fast) and they start talking aswell it’s really cute. 😛 So yeah.

I begged my mum for a guinea pig for my birthday but she wouldn’t let me have one. I’ve had guinea pigs before and didn’t look after them, but I was a lot younger then and I’m a lot more responsible now. If I got a guinea pig I’d take the best care of it–I want one more than anything 🙁
I’ve been looking them up looking for any other tidbits of information that I don’t already know, and I have a hutch and a run set up all ready for them. I’m fifteen, and I owned guineapigs when I was seven, which is why my parents are a bit wary to letting me have one (preferably two so they can keep eachother company, but if I’m not allowed then I’ll just have to take extra care to keep the one happy).
Christmas is coming up and I’m thinking of asking again. I don’t care if the only thing I got for christmas was PERMISSION to get a little piggie of my own, and I had to buy the rest. Could anyone help me with some arguement to get my mum and dad to agree???
I am 11 years old and i am also a guinea pig owner. Me and my brother begged our mom and ad for guinea pigs. Finely they agreed. a week later we got 2 guinea pigs. The one we named Darling. she is a short haired black and white guinea pig and her 2 week year old baby girl, MoMo. (we got them from our cosin). A few weeks later we got two more guinea pig:
Rosillia, a long haired muilti coloured guinea pig. Copper, the colour of a rusty orange.
about a month later we figerd out that Rosillia was pregnent. 2 months later she gave birth to 2 males:
Levi, black with sprinckels of rust
Judah, also black but with much less rust.
now my MoMo is going to have babys any day!!!

GUINEA PIG LOVER
i have just recently become a guinea pig owner i have two girls mia and cleo, mia is just like buddy!! they look like twins and cleo is smooth-long haired and is nick named fluffball!! their fav treat is little tomatoes.And mia is expecting a cute little family of bubies any time soon now
We have just moved to an acre and I promised the kids a guinea pig each. I have loved every moment of it. Seeing the kids bond with their guinea pigs, in fact I have really loved getting to nurse them too. We have three girls all from the same litter but just like children they have different personalities and apprearances. Cocoa my favourite has always been confident and quirky. He sits like a Buddaha, falls asleep on his side on my sons lap and even loves getting tickled and of course loves her tucker. The other too are not so confident but I can see them coming out of their shells as the kids get to know them. Let me know if you have trained them or had any luck with calling them by their name.
