A WHEEEKLY weigh in is important to pickup any illness. Start a little excel spreadsheet and track each pig. If you find a piggy is losing weight consistently, there is usually an underlying medical problem which gives you more time to deal with it.
You can use kitchen scales and glue a plastic container to the top (Using araldite or a silicone) as long as it measures grams (or ounces) and has a max limit of 2kgs or more.
